Fomema silent on grouses

30 May, 2008

SO what does Fomema have to say about the complaints?

There are many complaints about Fomema about inconsistent reports and many believes there should be a channel of effective communication between Fomema and employers.

SO Please give your comments to‘Fomadas’ and propose how Fomema can improve its services which have for the last few years collected billions of ringgit from the employers. Of course, Fomema has its strengths as it has managed to detect thousands of unhealthy aliens.

However, there are still many questions left unanswered and many employers would like to have more information on how Fomema conducted its operations. Please forward your comments to Fomadas’ panel of advisers below

Fomadas wishes to share an article on Fomema by NST recently.

“One reply of Fomema is about inconsistent medical reports. Doctors who were not on their panel for the foreign workers’ health-screening programmed may not have the criteria for certification for suitability for employment in this country. A doctor may have the opinion that the worker was fit to work despite having detected the likelihood of a communicable disease.

In such cases, the benefit of the doubt is given to the country and not the worker.

On the possibility of tests performed on one patient by different doctors yielding conflicting results, Fomema said this could happen when X-ray findings or lab test results showed abnormalities.

In such cases, the worker’s status will be amended to “unsuitable” upon investigation”
