PUTRAJAYA: The policy on the recruitment of foreign workers should be standardized regardless of the source country.
The Foreign Workers Management and Supplier Firms Association (Tekam) pro tem president Datuk Baharom Abd Ghani urged that a standard measure on hiring foreign workers would have prevented the oversupply of labour from Bangladesh.
The intake Had led to many Bangladeshi workers being stranded here after failing to find work. As a result, the intake of workers from Bangladesh was frozen in the middle of last year
Currently there are 270 outsourcing firms supplying foreign workers to various companies. Tekam urged the recruitment policy to be standardized for all countries and they are seeking an appointment with Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar to discuss further regarding this
